Since 2019, the firm's founder, Joselynn Fember, has been a leader in the legal profession with proven success. We are consistent, patient and professional, giving each new case our undivided attention whilst walking you through each step of the process. With Fember Law, you should expect the best.

We are a new kind of law firm in a challenging and constantly changing market, where we help our clients overcome their most complex legal issues. We bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Canadian clients and are dedicated to providing client-centric legal services with integrity and pride.

Having worked with and collaborated with industry experts and professionals, we have learned how to give clients what they need most - quality legal services.

Joselynn is far beyond her years in legal practice and has already demonstrated a track record of competence and a clear dedication to innovative input in the legal profession. Fember Law is yet another demonstration of Joselynn's  desire to see much-needed reform in the legal industry.

Fember Law's slogan is “Results, not Hours”. This is one that was given extensive thought and research, with due consideration to the changing demands of the value-driven market, the needs of prospective clients, the need to uphold the dignity of the profession, the deficiencies in the legal system (particularly the slowness and inefficiency of civil and criminal courts), the tendency of legal professionals to bill at high rates and provide access to real results at low rates and the costs of those inefficiencies.

All of the above have very serious consequences, and are damaging to our economic competitiveness as well as to the rights of clients, particularly the less fortunate. Many clients get little or no satisfaction from traditional and outdated systems of legal practice. Joselynn paved the way in South Africa for the promotion of the accessibility of law and legal practice and was highly regarded in making legal information more readily available to the public and to the clients she served. She has assisted in an advisory capacity in numerous high profile criminal cases and is often contacted by news and television stations to provide public commentary.

Joselynn is critical of the use of billable hours in our current climate as inefficient, needlessly punitive and susceptible to abuse. As such, the firms structure has been built to address the foregoing problem statement. By insisting on value in legal spend, we mean predictability, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.

The introduction of innovation by Joselynn means that there is a shift in our values and our approach to clients. This shift is an intellectual advance and is, in our view, objectively better in accomplishing the purposes of the law.
